1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can remember something between page views — that you dismissed a notice, or that your visit originally came from a particular referral link. Local storage works similarly but is not sent back to the server with every request.
2. Categories we use

3. Consent on shared devices
A choice stored in a browser belongs to that browser, not to a person. On a shared laptop the next user inherits your answer until site data is cleared. Where that matters, use a private window: nothing survives once it closes.
4. How to control cookies
You can accept, refuse or delete cookies at any time. Blocking the strictly necessary category may break parts of the site; blocking analytics or affiliate cookies will not affect the content you can read.

Private or incognito windows discard cookies when closed, which is a quick way to browse without persistent identifiers.
5. Changes
If we add or remove a tool that sets cookies we will update the table above and the revision date. Questions go to [email protected].
6. Reviewing your choice
Your cookie answer is stored per browser and per device, so a choice made on a phone does not carry over to a laptop. To change it, clear this site's data in your browser settings and reload the page; the notice reappears and you can choose again. Nothing is remembered on our servers.
